Land Navigation Basics
Join CAARA and learn the basics of map and compass navigation.
Topics to be covered include:
 | Learn to read a topographic map and identify terrain features using symbols, legends, contour lines, scales, etc. |
| Learn to land navigate using dead reckoning and terrain association techniques |
| Learn to use the Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) grid system and plot coordinates |
| Practice these skills now rather than wait until race day |
